To do well in Ceramic classes students must work hard and complete all projects assigned.
Student will be given directions and a rubric for all projects. This is to be kept in the student's Ceramic's notebook, in class.
Once a project is competed, it must be graded before it is taken home.
To get graded students should have the grading sheet, the sketches for the project and the ceramic piece itself. During each student's class time Mrs. Gohler is available to grade projects so the student can take home the project and it will be recorded in the grade book.

Each project is introduced with a slideshow of similar pieces, and a history of ceramics as it pertains to the assignment. Mrs. Gohler will also give in-depth instruction on how to create the piece at this time. Students are expected to make sketches of the project they will create before they start construction in clay.
Following classroom procedures and rules is also very important, such as clean up and being on time to class.
